About

Welcome! This blog was launched early 2026 and shared with friends … who are sharing with friends … and so on!

The “Anti-Doom” Part:

The blog posts focus on possibilities for progressive change, especially in Canada, and our role in that change. The intent is to offer information, curated links and resources, and action ideas. A variety of topics will highlight connections between issues, along with hopeful visions for change, options for action, and examples of how people are coming together to make a difference.

All is not lost! It is not too late! We have solutions! And even small changes can make big difference for people and planet.

Check in, read what’s interesting, and talk with your family, friends, and neighbours about the future they want. Our communities, country, and the world need our attention, care, and action.

The “Workroom” Part:

It’s up to us to build a strong foundation for the shared future we want. Let’s be hopeful enough and active enough to work for change! This site is a “room” for ideas, information, reflection, and action. But remember your work doesn’t have to be daunting or super ambitious all the time. Focus on your strengths, pay attention to your energy and capacity, and draw on available resources and efforts already in motion.

Bite-sized engagement and action is encouraged! It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with many converging crises and so much fast and disorienting change. It’s also easy for concerned and committed folks to get burnt out. Ideally, the information and anti-doom perspectives shared here will be grounding and will help you to imagine action possibilities.

Pick and choose what you want to read, learn about, and implement. Occasionally dig deeper by following links and doing your own research … or not … or maybe bookmark for later. Experiment with how you want to engage with the workroom!
